Midtown Bistro & Lounge is the newly revamped restaurant and bar at SCBD area. (formerly known as The Twenty8 and Pad@28) The restaurant concept is similar like its previous predecessor, with little change on the interior and improvement on their menu. It's not really hard to find its restaurant due to its strategic location, it is located near the boundary between SCBD and Senopati area.

The restaurant itself is quite big and spacious enough, I bet they could accommodate up to 100 people in total. They used to have three floors for the restaurant back then, but now it has been reduced to two floors since the third floor will be used as office later on. You might spot many ashtrays on the table since the first floor is dedicated for smoker, so if you are non-smoker, you might want to dine at the second floor.

Oxtail Fried Rice (IDR 120k)
Oxtail Fried Rice

Oxtail Fried Rice is Indonesian style fried rice with oxtail meat served along with sweet soy sauce fried oxtail, veggies, crackers and special broth. It tasted pretty delicious as the oxtail meat was super tender and flavorful and the fried rice was mildly seasoned which is just right! The special broth also added special sensation for the dish!

Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Wings (IDR 50k)
Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Wings is deep fried crispy chicken wings coated with spicy teriyaki seasoning. The seasoning was combination from sweet and spicy taste and this one is definitely perfect for starter or snack!

Truffle Garlic Parmesan Wings (IDR 50k)

Truffle Garlic Parmesan Wings is deep fried crispy chicken wings infused with truffle and coated with garlic and parmesan cheese. This one tasted super duper delicious and I'm totally fell in love with this one on my first bite. It might look a little bit dry though, but the combination of garlic, parmesan cheese and truffle was just amazing!


Croque Monsieur (IDR 75k)

Croque Monsieur is toasted brioche with bechamel cream sauce, smoked beef and grilled tomato served along with house salad. If you like creamy things, I bet you will love this so much. It tasted pretty rich and they were being pretty generous with the smoked beef as well. Perfect for all-day breakfast!

Chicken Betutu (IDR 75k)
Chicken Betutu

Chicken Betutu is roasted Balinese yellow marinated chicken (also called "Betutu") served along with veggies, sambal matah (Raw Balinese sambal) and veggies. Honestly, I didn't expect much from this one as they are not specialized in serving Indonesian food. But, I was definitely wrong, this one tasted super duper delicious and definitely suit my liking ! The chicken was nicely seasoned and the sambal matah was perfectly made. Oh, I'm craving for this one right now..

Chicken Betutu

Steak & Egg

Steak & Egg is one of their brunch menus which consists of grilled sirloin steak (medium rare), sunny side up, baked beans, pork bacon, grilled tomato, sausage and potato galette served along with mushroom sauce. Everything inside the plate was delicious and I personally love the super runny sunny side up!

Overall, I had an amazing lunch at Midtown Bistro & Lounge, the food tasted delicious, the place is nice and the service was good. Now I know the reason why many people said that their Indonesian food are worth to try, because I have tried it myself and I do agree with their opinion! I wish they could maintain the consistency of the dishes and I'm looking forward for their next innovation. Thanks for having me and best of luck for Midtown Bistro & Lounge!
