Shiraku Soba (Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta)

Buta Miso Soba

Say hello to Shiraku Soba, a second restaurant that brought abura soba to Jakarta. (as you might know, the first one was YamatotenShiraku Soba is located at Pantai Indah Kapuk or specifically at Ruko Elang Laut. In order to get here, you just can simply take an exit at PIK gate and just go straight, the restaurant will be at your right!

The restaurant itself is not quite big, but it was spacious and cozy enough, I reckon they can accommodate up to 50 people. The interior is traditional yet modern with signature "Japanese" touch and murals painted on the walls. Despite being the newcomer in the block, I could see they already managed to attract a lot of customers which is good.

Let's get started with their food!

Buta Miso Soba (IDR 55.8k)
Buta Miso Soba

Buta Miso Soba is abura soba with special shoyu and miso tare, served with boiled egg, chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, dried seaweed and slices of roasted pork. You can choose whether you want to have it with ramen or shiro soba. Overall it was good although the flavor was quite light and bland. The good thing is their roasted pork was wonderful, I love the soft texture and strong porky flavor from it!

Chicken Teriyaki Soba (IDR 48.5k)
Chicken Teriyaki Soba
Chicken Teriyaki Soba is abura soba served with special homemade teriyaki sauce, boiled egg, chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, dried seaweed and marinated chicken thigh. The marinated chicken thigh was good with a hint of sweetness from the teriyaki sauce,

Tori Katsu Kare Soba (IDR 56.8k)
Tori Katsu Kare Soba

Tori Katsu Kare Soba is abura soba served with curry sauce, soft boiled egg, chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, dried seaweed and deep fried marinated chicken thigh. The curry sauce was good and had a strong flavor. Overall, it was nice although I prefer if the egg was soft-boiled like instead of hard-boiled. (sigh..)

Gyutan Don (IDR 48.5k)
Gyutan Don

Gyutan Don is slices of ox tongue topped with chopped chili and teriyaki sauce and served with sunny side up and dried seaweed. It tasted pretty delicious with a hint the spicy kick from the chopped chili on the top of ox tongue. I have to say that I was pretty impressed with this!

Iced Matcha Avocado (IDR 38.5k)
Matcha Avocado

Iced Matcha Avocado is one of Shiraku Soba's signature drink, it is basically cold avocado and matcha infused drink served along with cookie glass. The taste was wonderful as I never thought that matcha will make a perfect combination with avocado. It was not super sweet and the avocado flavor was quite strong.

Iced Matcha Nutella (IDR 38.5k)
Iced Matcha Nutella

Iced Matcha Nutella is another signature drink from Shiraku Soba which is nutella and matcha infused drink served along with cookie glass. Nutella just can't go wrong with everything, don't you think so?

Overall, I had a good lunch at Shiraku Soba, the food tasted pretty decent, the service was good and the place is nice. I wish best of luck for Shiraku Soba and thanks for having me!
